The 2006 Gongju International Arts Festival was held at the Limlip Art Museum, which was located in Gyeryong-myeon, Gongju City, Chungnam, from October 14 to November 2, 2006..

This ‘GIAF, 2006’ is very meaningful event that “viewers can create and enjoy”. Through being participated by not only artist’s but ordinary people. ‘GIAF 2006’ is much larger than last year. Because of 180 Artists in 12 countries taking part in the festival, it was much more various and developed International Art Festival.

The main theme of the third year’s Gongju International Art Festival is the“Original Nature of Human”. Through this festival, We would like to be understanded Human and Humanity’s real value. By art, We wish to bring out ‘Human’ restricted within “you”, “I” and “we” in the nature and the society.

‘GIAF 2006’consists of 3 categories, i.e., Theme Exhibition, Special Exhibition, and Additional Exhibition. Theme Exhibition will be mainly constituted of 2D art works. Special Exhibition was constituted of 3D art works and installation

that the spectator can enjoy in beautiful nature. And Additional Exhibition will give the spectator many opportunities who can do various experiences and think about Original Nature of Human.
