Hanok is the term that refers to the traditional Korean house. It is a construction style that matches the characteristics of the Korean climate characterized by the coexistence of continental climate and oceanic climate, with floor for cooling and ondol for heating combined. The construction materials for Hanok are soil, lumber, and stones; the soil used as main material maintains the most appropriate, constant level of humidity for people. As nature-friendly Korean abode, Hanok perfectly carries traditional Korean beauty. Until you have visited a Korean Hanok in Chungcheongnam-do to experience a one-night stay, you have not experienced the real Korea.
