‘The Day of Chungnam’ is the festival which on the purpose of improving the relationships about emotional connections and friendships for the people in Korea and China and Guizhou Province has been selected as a ‘Korea·China Liberal Exchange Theme City’.  

By this selection, Chungnam-do and Guizhou are planning to hold seven new festivals and fairs like a sanitation environment·tourism·culture of sports exchange, photo exhibition, construction of a small town and so on. Also, they will hold their own feativals ‘Day of Chungnam’ and ‘Day of Guizhou’ exchangeably. 

At this time, Governor An visited Guizhou with eighty-eight people including heads and directors of departments, an economic mission, a medical missionary and a tourism association, and Governor An went to ‘Big Data Center’ in Guian new town. And he made an official call on the Party Chief Chen Miner and castellan of Sun zhigang, and the confucius institute where is professionally teach Chinese traditional culture.  

Around eight-hundreds people including Governor An and Party Chief Chen and Governor of Guizhou Province Sun attended the ‘Day of Chungnam’ festival and they established a sisterhood relationship between two provinces, had proclamation ceremony of the ‘Day of chungnam’. And the festival went along in order of its sequence; the stage of Chungnam Traditional Music Orchestra and folk songs and dances of Guizhou. Additionally, there was a photo exhibition that contains photos of attractions and festivals of Chungnam.  

In the business conference, Governor An shared current conditions and cooperation plans of both provinces with around eighty people of businessmen in Chungnam, authorities of companies and local government of Guizhou, and in the tourism conference, one hundred-thirty authorities for tourism of both provinces had attended and introduced famous tourist attractions in Chungnam and talked about travel packages. In field of medical, medical universities(Dankook University·Guizhou Medical University) in both provinces executed an MOU to exchanging of health care and a medical symposium.     

Guizhou in Southwestern China is 170,000km² which is 1.5 times the size of South Korea and it has further established itself as a heartland of Western China’s Development Policy by taking the second spot with GDP growth in China during the first half of last year with 380 million people at the end of 2014. Also, Guizhou is famous for producing ‘Mao-tai’ the Chinese No.1 liquor.    

After Chungnam-do · Guizhou signed the agreement of intention for friendship in 2014, 133 people visited mutual regions 14 times.
