Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, a long-time friend of Chungcheongnam-do, visited the province in celebration of their 15 years of sisterhood and staged a Polish traditional arts performance.

A delegation from Wielkopolskie, Poland, which was headed by Wojciech Jankowiak, Vice Governor, and a performance group visited Chungcheongnam-do from November 22nd to 27th for a 5-day, 6-night trip.

This was a visit in response to Chungnam Traditional Orchestra’s performance in Poland in June, pursued based on the principle of reciprocity.

The delegation, featuring Vice Governor Jankowiak, Vice Chancellor of Adam Mickiewicz University, International Cooperation Team Manager and Spatial Design Team Manager of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, met with the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do on the 24th and visited various provincial agencies and sites in the areas of urban construction, local universities and cultural arts.

The Polish folk performance group, which entered the country on 22nd, a couple days before the delegation, showcased the folk dance performances from Poznan and Wyszkow regions to Chungnam citizens.

The title of the performance was even named “15 Years of Friendship, a Beautiful Walk Together” in celebration of the sisterhood’s 15th anniversary. Starting off with an independent performance at Gyeryong Culture & Arts Center on the 23rd, the performances were then held in Bongseo Hall at Cheonan City Hall on the 25th and Naepo Provincial Office Culture & Arts Center on the 26th.
