Administrator of Chungnam-do Visiting Japan Until 11th… Will Benchmarking Hydrogen Economy

Administrator of Chungnam-do Yoon Jong In visited Japan to improve the relationship between Chungnam-do and the Japanese local government. Yoon attended ‘the 7th East Asia Local Government Conference’ in Nara city, Nara province. Kitaoka Shinichi, the emerita professor of Tokyo University, had a keynote speech and representatives in the conference had a provincial government discussion.
In the conference, Yoon shared the case of eco-friendly city and salubrious, and the ‘case of Naepo New Town’ based on examples of U-city, which is a safe sustainable city. The conference will be holding for four days with diverse topics as ‘building a village and district’, ‘development of agriculture and local economy’ and ‘plans to reduce low birthrate’.
Yoon will visit Tokyo, Japan in 8th to look around main structures and global business groups then find industrial characteristics in Japanese economy and do benchmarking their hydrogen energy policy.
At METI(Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) of Japan, Yoon will advertise the ‘1st Hydrogen Energy International Forum of Chungnam-do’ that Chungnam-do is holding next month in Gongju-si, and invite experts of hydrogen energy.
The chief director of Asian Countries Hong Man Pyo said, “Provincial governments of Asian countries must have a global vision. We will share our experiences and knowledges with local governments in Asian countries, and try to set-up the joint response system for issues we have.”
