It changes its direction to the southwest at Ganggyeong and flows into the west sea. In the Geumgang River area in the south of the Charyeongsanmaek Mountain Range, wide open fields such as Guryong Plains and Nonsan Plains are observed.
Sapgyocheon Stream originates from the Charyeongsanmaek Mountain Range and flows into the north. The wide Yedang Plains are observed there.
Land reclamation has been promoted atthe seashore. Since the late 1970¡¯s, especially, the project became larger. That¡¯s why the coast line was simplified The large-scale tide embankments which simplified the coastline include Asan Bay Sea Wall, Gapgyo Sea Wall, Daeho Sea Wall, and Seosan A.B District Sea Wall. Therefore, many beaches such as Mallipo Beach, Yeonpo Beach, Mongsanpo Beach, Daecheon Beach, and Muchangpo Beach have been developed due to the presence of sand dunes.
